    Description

American Silver Collected by Philip H. Hammerslough. Volume IV.
Privately Printed: 1973. Edition limited to 350 copies.
The last of a series of four catalogs of one of the finest and most famous private American silver collections. Four catalogs were published over a 15-year span, each apparently the final one, except that Philip Hammerslough went out and just kept buying more great pieces of silver. Philip Hammerslough, a tobacco magnate, had learned his lessons from two of the foremost silver authorities of his or any other time- John Marshall Phillips of Yale and Kathryn Buhler of Boston. His collection was permanently loaned to the Wadsworth Atheneum even as he assembled it, and among those who helped were Marvin Schwartz and Dean A. and Martha G. Fales.
Hardcover. 8"x10.5", 142 pages, color frontispiece and black & white illustrations. Light wear, a little soil.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OVERSEAS BUYERS, PLEASE NOTE:
SHIPPING: To comply with Ebay’s policies, all packages are shipped using recorded/trackable methods and you should check the postage quotes before completing a purchase. Our International shipping charges are based on the weight, when packed, of each package -we offer “combined shipping charges” for orders for more than one item –this often means the shipping cost for the items is less than it would have been if they had been purchased and shipped one at a time, so please ask us for a shipping quote if you are thinking about buying more than one item. Thanks!
CUSTOMS CHARGES: Your post office may impose a customs charge on your incoming package, we have no control over this and no information about it, please check with your post office for more information. It is against U.S. law and Ebay rules for us to lie on the customs form about the value of packages, please do not ask us to do this.
